Malaysia has strongly denounced Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip which claimed the lives of Palestinian civilians including children.
In a statement on Saturday the Malaysian foreign ministry said that Israel’s attacks on Gaza were excessive disproportionate and in total disregard for all international laws.
“Malaysia reiterates its strong opposition to Israel’s continued blockade against Gaza which constitutes collective punishment and causes tremendous human suffering and hardship to the people of Gaza and humanitarian relief organizations in the Strip” the ministry added.
It called on the international community to make serious efforts towards ending the illegal Israeli occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state.
Malaysia also urged all parties to exercise restraint and respect the ceasefire agreement to avoid further loss of civilian lives.
