GAZA (PIC)– Palestinian communication and technology minister Dr. Yousef Al-Mansi has highlighted Sunday the essential Qatari role in supporting the Palestinian people inside the besieged Gaza Strip.
Remarks of Mansi who also hold the PA public works and housing portfolio were made during a visit to the Qatari diplomatic mission in Gaza where he met with Qatari Ambassador Seyar Al-Moawed before discussing with him the main hindrances that derail the two ministries’ work.
According to Mansi Qatar’s efforts in supporting the Palestinian people in the shadow of the crippling Israeli economic siege that affected all aspects of life in the Strip were undeniable hailing the Qatari determination to keep their mission in Gaza open and to continue supporting the legitimate PA government of premier Ismael Haneyya despite the “difficult” conditions there.
The Palestinian minister also praised Qatar for the active role it plays in amicably settling Palestinian and Arab disputs citing the successful Qatari mediation in ending political rift in Lebanon.
For his part Al-Moawed stressed that the Qatari leadership and people’s support to the Palestinian people and their just cause adding that Qatar will continue serving the Palestinian people with the aim to alleviate the bad repercussions of the unjust siege.
