GAZA (PIC)– Scores of Palestinians on Saturday participated in the funeral procession of Sami Madi who had been killed the day before by Israeli soldiers during a protest east of al-Bureij refugee camp in the Gaza Strip.
Relatives and friends of the slain young man led the funeral march through the streets of Deir al-Balah district before they laid him to rest in a local cemetery.
In a speech delivered following the burial service senior official of the Popular Front Hussein Habbash mourned the death of Madi who is a noted member of the Front and hailed his traits.
Habbash said that al-Quds intifada ended what was left of the futile peace process vowing to avenge the death of Madi and all the martyrs who died on the path to freedom and liberation.
Sami Madi was a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) in Deir al-Balah district and was responsible for its media committee.
