The “Miles of Smiles” campaign started preparations for a new medical aid convoy to the Gaza Strip which is scheduled to reach the besieged enclave over the next few days.
In a statement released Monday the convoy affirmed that contacts were made with the Egyptian authorities to allow its entry.
The convoy will coordinate with the Egyptian Red Crescent and the “Sons of Sinai” company which is specialized in transporting in-kind needs in order to enter the medical aids the statement reads.
The convoy called on its partners from charitable and humanitarian institutions and activists to provide the financial support needed to help relief the Gaza health sector.
