GAZA (PIC)– Dr. Basem Na’im the PA minister of youth and sports and former health minister on Monday survived an assassination attempt on the part of the mutiny trend within Fatah faction in Gaza city.
Reliable sources told PIC that Fatah mutineers along with security elements from the PA presidential guards affiliated with PA chief Mahmoud Abbas fired directly and intensively at the office of minister Na’im inflicting severe material damage to the office.
The sources underlined that the minister was not hurt in the attempt and left the ministry’s headquarters. They described the attempt as an intentional assassination bid in view of the amount of bullets that hit the office of the minister.
