The Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Health on Wednesday said that 499 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) cases and 346 recoveries have been recorded in the Palestinian areas in the past 24 hours.
Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila said in a press statement that the new cases are distributed as the following: 140 in al-Khalil 4 in Nablus 32 in Bethlehem 23 in Qalqilya 48 in Ramallah and al-Bireh 1 in Jenin 4 in Jericho and the Jordan Valley 3 in Salfit 25 in Tulkarem and 219 in Jerusalem.
The rate of recovery from coronavirus infections saw an increase reaching 57.3% while the death rate stood at 0.6% the minister confirmed.
Meanwhile there are 21 patients in critical condition receiving treatment in intensive care units.
