Gaza’s Ministry of Interior and National Security on Saturday confirmed its full readiness to exert every effort possible to ensure the success of the Palestinian Authority (PA) government’s visit to Gaza next Monday.
The official spokesman of the Ministry Iyad al-Bozom told PIC reporter that his Ministry on Friday held a meeting with a security delegation from Ramallah that discussed security arrangements for the upcoming visit.
Bozom added that ways of joint coordination were discussed with the guards of the PA president Mahmoud Abbas pointing out that a positive atmosphere prevailed during the meeting.
Two security delegations and a third media delegation coming from the occupied West Bank arrived on Thursday in the Gaza Strip through Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing to prepare for the PA government’s visit to Gaza.
According to PIC reporter the security delegation is composed of 7 people while the media delegation is composed of 20 people including media personalities from the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation and Wafa news agency.
