The Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday announced that two COVID-19 (coronavirus) cases have been detected among citizens who recently returned to the enclave from abroad.
The Ministry said in a brief statement that the new cases brought the total number of infections in Gaza since March to 72.
As put in the statement so far 41 cases have recovered while 30 are still under treatment in an emergency hospital in Rafah southern Gaza.
Only one COVID-19 death has been recorded in Gaza for a woman in her seventies.
