Minors among 17 Palestinians kidnapped by Israeli army at daybreak

Monday 3-July-2017

17 Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at daybreak Monday in an abduction sweep rocking West Bank provinces.

According to Hebrew-speaking sources 17 Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli army on account of their involvement in anti-occupation activities.

A Palestinian youngster was kidnapped by the Israeli soldiers from his family home in Nablus and another from his workplace in the city.

Anti-settlement activist Bashar al-Qaryouti said Israeli army patrols stormed Qaryout town south of Nablus and showered the area with barrages of teargas canisters. A number of women and children choked on teargas. Red Crescent paramedics rushed to the scene to treat the wounded civilians.

The IOF also broke into Qalqilya’s eastern town of Kafr Kadum and kidnapped five Palestinians including the two brothers Subhi Mansour aged 16 and Salah Mansour 15.

At the same time the IOF stormed Eastern Bertaa town in Jenin and kidnapped a Palestinian citizen.

The occupation troops raked through the town before they sealed off its main access road with a makeshift checkpoint where Palestinian civilians have been subjected to intensive inspection.
