Minors among 30 Palestinians kidnapped by IOF

An IOF assault on the Balata refugee camp in Nablusovernight resulted in the abduction of several Palestinians.


The Israeli occupation army claimed responsibilityfor the abduction of 11 Palestinians from the West Bank.


Israeli news outlets said an occupation officer waslightly wounded in an exchange of gunfire in Balata camp.


A PIC news correspondent said over 17 Israeli army patrolsstormed Nablus’s eastern camp of Balata and wreaked havoc on the home of thePalestinian citizen Abdul Rauf Majdalawi before they ordered him to shut downthe second floor on claims that it is used as a lathe.

A Palestinian youngster was injured in violentclashes with the IOF shortly after the assault.


Two ex-prisoners—Muhammad Nassar and Ali Ziyada—werekidnapped by the IOF from their family homes in Nablus’s southern town of Madma.


14-year-old Muhammad Shakarneh and 20-year-old AbdulKareem Shakarneh were kidnapped by the occupation troops following an assault onBethlehem’s western town of Nahalin. Another youth was summoned forinterrogation in Bethlehem’s eastern corners.


The IOF further ravaged civilian homes and commercialshops in western Husan village.


The IOF threatened to subject Husan natives to toughcrackdowns in case of reported anti-occupation stone-attacks.


A military checkpoint was also pitched by theIsraeli soldiers on the access road to Samou’ town in southern al-Khalil wherePalestinian passengers and vehicles have been subjected to provocative inspection.


A few hours earlier the IOF kidnapped 18Palestinians from occupied Jerusalem including 16-year-old Musa Ahmad AbuGhanam.


The captives were released hours later following exhaustiveinterrogation. Abu Ghanam was however kept in custody.


In a related development the Israeli Magistrate’sCourt extended the detention of ten schoolchildren aged between 15 and 17years-old and enrolled at the Orphans basic school until next Friday lawyerMuhammad Mahmoud reported.


The ten minors were kidnapped on Monday on allegationsof hurling stones and empty bottles on the occupation army.


The Israeli court further extended the detention ofMuhammad Shalabi until October 28.


The IOF closed off al-Tour neighborhood for sixhours on claims that two Israeli settlers were stoned by anti-occupationprotesters.
