The father of the Palestinian prisoner Miqdad al-Qawasmeh who has been on hunger strike for 108 days called for intensifying all efforts to save his son before it is too late.
Omar al-Qawasmeh said that the Palestinian support does not live up to the Israeli repression against the striking prisoners.
He pointed out that Israeli authorities decided to transfer Miqdad from Kaplan Hospital to Ramle prison hospital in an attempt to break his strike.
He described the Israeli decision as an “execution” verdict especially that his son is unable to move after entering a serious life-threatening stage.
Earlier Thursday The Israeli military prosecution office has informed the lawyer of the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) of its intent to extend the administrative detention of prisoner Miqdad al-Qawasmeh.
Qawasmeh has been in administrative detention with no trial or indictment since last January.
There are also five other prisoners who have been on hunger strike for different periods in protest at their detention administratively.
They are Kayed al-Fasfous Alaa al-Araj Hisham Abu Hawash Ayyad al-Harimi and Louay al-Ashqar.
