Hamas’s former chief Khaled Mishaal has described as “courageous” Muslims’ and Arabs’ reaction to the U.S. President Donald Trump’s recognition of Occupied Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
Speaking from Morocco’s Rabat where he has been received by the ruling Justice and Development Party (PJD) Mishaal expressed his extreme pride of Morocco’s and Arabs’ position in favor of the Palestinian cause and Occupied Jerusalem.
“I entered Morocco through the doors of its King God bless him. As soon as he learned about my visit he warmly welcomed it” said Mishaal.
“I am popping in Morocco at a time when Jerusalem has become at the forefront of the nation’s concerns following Trump’s biased and shocking move” the Hamas leader added.
Mishaal arrived in Morocco on Tuesday for a two-day visit. He was received by PJD’s Deputy Secretary-General Suleiman al-Omrani among other high-profile officials.
Mishaal is expected to hold a series of meetings with leaders from Morocco’s Party of Progress and Socialism.
