Mishaal briefs Arab diplomats on Palestinian developments

Damascus – Khaled Mishaal the chairman of the Hamas political bureau Wednesday evening briefed Arab diplomats accredited to Damascus on latest Palestinian developments in the light of the Israeli military escalation and siege a Hamas press release said.

It added that Mishaal also briefed the Arab envoys on latest efforts focusing on the formation of a national unity government.

The Hamas leader urged the Arab countries to support those efforts and to work for breaking the oppressive American-Zionist siege. He affirmed at the same time the Palestinian people’s confidence in its Arab Nation in its capacity as the Palestinians’ strategic depth and the host of their national struggle.

For their part the ambassadors affirmed their countries backing to the Palestinian people in face of such brutal aggression and siege.

They said that Arab and international efforts should concentrate on ending the Israeli aggression and lifting the American-led western economic and political siege.

The Arab foreign ministers in their emergency meeting on Sunday (12/11) in Cairo condemned the Israeli massacre in Beit Hanun that killed 20 civilians describing it s a “war crime”. They also called for breaking the siege imposed on the Palestinian people.
