Head of Hamas’s foreign political bureau Khaled Mishaal reiterated his Movement’s keenness on Lebanon’s security and stability affirming that the Palestinians would never be a source of instability in the country.
Mishaal made his remarks during his meeting with Walid Jumblatt head of the Progressive Socialist Party in the Lebanese capital Beirut.
The Hamas leader called on the government and parties in Lebanon to make efforts to improve the living conditions of the Palestinian refugees until their return to their homeland.
He also discussed with Jumblatt the latest developments in the Palestinian arena and the conditions of the Palestinians living in Lebanon and thanked him for his historical positions towards the Palestinian cause.
Mishaal also affirmed that the Hamas leadership would stay in touch with Jumblatt to discuss important issues that contribute to serving the Palestinian cause Lebanon and the Arab and Muslim nations.
For his part Jumblatt applauded the Hamas Movement for its great role in resisting the Israeli occupation describing it as a liberation movement.
He expressed his confidence that Hamas would win the battle against the occupation sooner or later.
“Despite the difficult conditions but we are not afraid for Palestine because it will win in the end” he added.
