Hamas’s former chief Khaled Mishaal on Thursday called on the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to make every possible effort to boost national unity in response to US President Donald Trump’s latest Jerusalem move.
Speaking to Abbas by phone Mishaal called attention to the fallouts of Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and his decision to move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Occupied Jerusalem.
Abbas and Mishaal stressed the need to prop up national unity and combine forces to face the emerging challenges and threats.
