CAIRO (PIC)– Khaled Mishaal the Hamas political bureau chairman on Saturday urged the Arabs to be the first to break the siege imposed on the Palestinian people warning of serious repercussions if the siege persisted.
Mishaal who was speaking after a meeting with Arab League secretary general Amre Mousa in Cairo said that the continued siege on the Palestinian people the unabated IOF aggression and pressures cornering the Palestinians to give more concessions might lead to an “explosion”.
The Arabs Muslims and the world at large are called upon to extend a helping hand to the Palestinians especially after they agreed upon and formed a unity government the Hamas supreme political leader elaborated.
He said that the Palestinian people were looking forward to the time when the world lifted that siege and sent assistance noting that the matter was very slowly progressing.
Mishaal said that he discussed with Mousa speedy Arab steps to break the siege opining that the Europeans would ultimately follow suit.
Asked on the Palestinian resistance’s use of locally made missiles against Israeli targets he said that the rockets were part of the Palestinian people’s right of self-defense and in retaliation to Israeli massacres.
He then charged Israeli premier Ehud Olmert with delaying the prisoners’ exchange deal refusing to go into details before the press.
