Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya on Friday discussed with the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov the efforts made recently to ease the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The discussion took place during a phone call according to Haneyy’a media office.
Haneyya talked about the latest Israeli military aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip as well as the victims and the damage it left.
The Hamas official also shed light on the condition of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails and Israel’s procrastination in implementing the understandings reached following the Karama 2 hunger strike about a month ago.
An Egyptian security delegation arrived in Gaza on Thursday to hold meetings on the ceasefire agreement reached a week ago between Israel and Palestinian resistance groups in the blockaded area under the auspices of Egypt and the United Nations.
