More than 100000 Palestinians from the West Bank and 1948 Occupied Palestine managed to attend the third Friday congregation at the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem despite the Israeli restrictions and extremely hot weather.
Local sources said that thousands started flocking to the Aqsa Mosque since the dawn hours from 1948 occupied Palestine and the West Bank.
However hundreds others were forced to offer their prayer at the Qalandiya checkpoint and at the gates of the Aqsa Mosque after the Israeli occupation forces blocked their entry into the holy site.
The Israeli occupation authorities deployed hundreds of policemen and border police forces in Jerusalem’s Old City and at all entrances to the holy city and streets leading to the holy site.
Citizens fainted or suffered from suffocation at the Qalandiya checkpoint due to the Israeli soldiers’ firing of teargas canisters at the crowd.
