Dozens of Jewish settlers broke into the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem under Israeli police protection on Wednesday.
Firas al-Dibs head of the Public Relations and Media Department at the Islamic Endowment in Occupied Jerusalem said that 28 settlers and 25 students of extremist religious institutes defiled the Al-Aqsa courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals.
It is expected that more settlers will storm the Mosque after al-Duhr (noon) prayer.
Meanwhile the occupation police prevented Palestinian citizens from the West Bank from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque in the al-Sahira Gate area as part of plans to impose restrictions on Muslim worshipers.
Al-Aqsa Mosque is witnessing daily except on Fridays and Saturdays incursions and violations by settlers and the occupation police in two shifts in the morning and afternoon.
