Israeli occupation authorities issued more than 550 administrative detention orders since the start of the year the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) revealed Tuesday.
Most of the administrative orders were mainly issued in March and April the PPS added.
The rights group expected that the number of administrative detainees will reach 700 by the end of the year.
Meanwhile two Palestinian administrative detainees Khalil Awawdeh and Ra’ed Rayan have been on hunger strike for several weeks in protest at their detention administratively with no indictment or trial.
500 Palestinian administrative detainees continue to boycott the Israeli courts for the 116th day in a row in protest against Israel’s illegal policy of administrative detention according to which they are held without charge or trial.
