Mother of hunger striker Farraj appeals for information about her son

Sunday 21-April-2019

The mother of Palestinian prisoner Khaled Farraj has appealed to international human rights groups and the Red Cross to intervene to know the fate of her son who has been on hunger strike for about 25 days in protest at his administrative detention.

Mona Farraj the prisoner’ mother said that she did not know anything about the fate of her son after his health condition largely declined and Israeli jailers transferred him from the Negev prison to an unknown place.

She said that she thought her son was transferred to solitary confinement in the Negev jail but two prisoners reported seeing him in poor health condition at the Ramla crossing one of the prisoner transit points where inmates are detained before transferring them to courts hospitals or other jails.

The prisoners who were being taken from Ofer to the Negev jail when they saw Farraj said that he was in very critical health condition weak and unable to walk and was vomiting continually.
