Dozens of Palestinians sustained injuries at noontime Friday after Israeli policemen attacked Muslim worshipers at the Aqsa Mosque—the third holiest site in Islam.
A PIC news correspondent said Israeli forces fired bullet shots toward hundreds of non-violent worshipers in the plazas of the Aqsa Mosque.
Heavily-armed Israeli soldiers stormed the site via the Maghareba Gate and chased down the worshipers.
The Muslim worshipers kept chanting “Allah is the Greatest” and “Oh Aqsa you are worth our lives and souls” in protest at the attack.
Israeli policemen unleashed barrages of bullet fire and acoustic grenades shortly after a group of worshipers headed for the Maghareba Gate in an attempt to force the Israelis out of the holy site.
