Mutineers surrender to QB in Gaza town

Tuesday 12-June-2007

GAZA (PIC)– Tens of PA security men widely believed to be associated with the mutiny trend of MP Mohammed Dahalan of Fatah faction have surrendered Tuesday afternoon to Hamas fighters in Khan Younis city south of Gaza Strip.

Well-informed security sources affirmed to the PIC that fighters of the Qassam Brigades (QB) the armed wing of Hamas were in control of the city after dominating headquarters of the PA security apparatuses there. The QB fighters also seized US-made weapons assigned to those apparatuses to fight Hamas.

Headquarters of the PA presidential guards in the city were also controlled by the QB fighters the sources further asserted.

However QB fighters were patriotic enough as they allowed those “misled” elements to go home safely and urged guardians to take control of their sons and to advise them not to listen to their leaders who according to a statement issued by the QB in this regard were “paid the price of their followers’ blood”.

The unfortunate clashes erupted when elements of the mutiny trend kidnapped and executed Omar Al-Rantisi of the QB cadres and nephew of the late Hamas political leader Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Rantisi who was assassinated with Israeli missiles in 2004 the sources and eyewitnesses affirmed.

Furthermore the Movement explained that the mutineers hadn’t listened to the dictates of their country and people’s interests and opted to ally themselves with enemies of their own people thus “leaving the QB with no option but to implement justice on them”.
