President of Canada’s New Democratic Party Jagmeet Singh on Saturday condemned Canada’s inaction on the Israeli crimes that violate Palestinian people’s rights and international human rights.
President Singh stressed the importance of Canada’s role in prosecuting Israel for assassinating Shireen Abu Akleh (the Al Jazeera correspondent).
Singh also denounced the Israeli decision which declared six Palestinian human rights institutions closed last month after they were charged with “terrorism”.
He called on the Canadian government to take practical and decisive steps while dealing with the Palestinian file and developments such as pressuring Israel to stop its settlement expansion and forcible expulsion of Palestinian people in addition to providing financial support for UNRWA which supports Palestinian refugees.
