Member of Hamas’s political bureau Harun Nasiruddin has warned against an Israeli plan to double the number of Jewish settlers who defile the Aqsa Mosque and increase the time for their daily tours of its courtyards describing such measure and other recent violations as “dangerous and racist.”
In a statement on Wednesday Nasiruddin pointed out that such serious plan was preceded recently by an arrest and banishment campaign that targeted several Islamic Awqaf employees and officials as well as Muslim worshipers.
He said that such practices at the Aqsa Mosque would ignite an all-out uprising against the Israeli occupation state affirming that the Palestinian people would not remain silent on such serious violations.
“We in the Hamas Movement affirm that the occupation’s new attempts to step up its aggression against the Aqsa Mosque and divide it temporally and spatially would not succeed” the Hamas official said adding that the Palestinian people would sacrifice their souls and everything they have to protect their Mosque which he described as a “red line.”
He urged the Aqsa Mosque defenders in Jerusalem and all the Palestinian citizens across the occupied territories to rise up to protect their Mosque against Jewish desecration and violations.
He also called on the Arab and Muslim nations to support the Palestinian struggle and steadfastness in Jerusalem and help them defend the Aqsa Mosque.
