Netanyahu incites against Palestinians in right-wing rally in J’lem

Thursday 7-April-2022

Former Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu attended a right-wing rally held in Occupied Jerusalem on Wednesday evening to protest the Bennett government’s failure to address the deteriorating security situation.

During the rally Netanyahu addressed his supporters while standing behind a bulletproof glass shield and used the podium to incite against the Palestinians and attack the Bennett government which he described as weak and dangerous.

He also accused the current government of damaging what he labeled as “Israel’s Jewish identity.”

Settlers from right-wing parties and groups participated in the rally chanting slogans in support of Netanyahu and calling for the Bennett government to step down for its failure to stop Palestinian operations.

Earlier Wednesday MK Idit Silman a member of Bennett’s Yamina party and the coalition whip announced she was quitting the coalition citing the continued “harming” of Israel’s Jewish identity as the main reason for her defection. Her departure left the coalition without a parliamentary majority and put it in immediate danger of collapse.
