OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his threat to wage new military aggression on the Gaza Strip and Lebanon in the wake of the armed clashes between the Lebanese army and Israeli troops and the fall of rockets in the south of occupied Palestine.
“I want to make it very clear to Hamas and the Lebanese government that we view them as responsible for the violent provocation against us.” Netanyahu said in a press release on Wednesday. “Don’t test our determination to protect our citizens.”
He threatened to strongly retaliate to any attack on Israel’s civilians and soldiers.
Dr. Salah al-Bardawil a Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip said that his movement was not looking for war “but if the Zionist entity believes that we are not able to defend our people they are mistaken. We will defend our people with all we own and we will be victorious Allah-willing.”
For his part deputy secretary-general of Hezbollah Naim Qasem warned Israel that the Lebanese resistance would respond strongly to any military action against Lebanon.
Qasem told the French news agency AFP that Israel would be mistaken if it thought it could wage a new war on Lebanon without reaction.
“Hezbollah chooses the time of restraint as it chooses the time to respond appropriately in a way that is in harmony with Lebanon’s interests and our assessment of the surrounding political circumstances” the Hezbollah official emphasized.
“Israel’s internal front would be fully exposed. They have to pay for their attacks. No Israeli aggression or destructive action would go without response” he added.
