Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to double the size of the illegal settlement of Dolev in the occupied West Bank in response to Friday’s bomb attack that killed one settler and injured two others.
According to Israeli media sources Netanyahu told his office director on Monday to prepare a plan for 300 housing units in Dolev settlement in order to submit it for approval to the regional planning and construction council.
The Israeli occupation authority recently approved the construction of thousands of settler homes throughout the West Bank and Jerusalem.
More than 600000 settlers live in over 230 settlements built since the 1967 Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and east Jerusalem.
The UN Security Council has adopted several resolutions condemning Israel’s settlement activities in the occupied territories.
