A so-called Adumim unit was tasked on Sunday by the Israeli occupation government to control Jerusalem’s border area.
According to Israel’s Channel 7 a ceremony was held at the unit’s military base near Jerusalem’s eastern town of Abu Dis to signal the go-ahead for the new force. Senior military leaders were in attendance.
Over recent months the Israeli occupation forces have tightened grip on Jerusalem’s border area where border cops have been deployed around the clock.
