General Coordinator of the Kuwaiti grant for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip Mamoun Besaiso said Wednesday that new stage beneficiaries of the Kuwaiti grant for Gaza reconstruction will be made next week.
In a Facebook post Besaiso affirmed that 16 million dollars has been allocated for the reconstruction of 1341 demolished homes in Gaza Strip.
Contacts have been going on with the Finance Ministry for the release of the Kuwaiti grant he noted.
For its part PA National Office for Gaza Reconstruction affirmed that a new batch of the Kuwaiti grant has been deposited for the reconstruction of Palestinian homes destroyed during Israel’s 2014 offensive on Gaza.
The new batch has reached the Finance Ministry treasury the sources noted.
It is scheduled to be distributed to 547 beneficiaries whose homes were destroyed during Israel’s latest aggression on Gaza.
This is the third and last batch of the Kuwaiti grant for Gaza reconstruction.
Kuwait pledged during the donor countries conference in Cairo 200 million dollars to support the economic and agricultural projects in addition to the reconstruction of 2251 demolished homes.
