In cooperation with the Palestinians of Turkey Conference The Palestinian Embassy in Turkey completed transactions to obtain Palestinian passports for nearly 500 Palestinian refugees coming from Syria to Turkey in the first half of March 2017 and exempted them from the required financial fees.
Mohammed Msheinesh the chairman of the Palestinians in Turkey Conference said that this achievement is one of the outcomes of the conference that was held in Istanbul on 4th September 2016 under a joint cooperation with the Palestinian official and civil institutions in Turkey particularly the Palestinian Embassy.
Msheinesh thanked the Palestinian ambassador in Turkey Fayed Mustafa for his efforts and diligent follow-up of this file as well as his keenness on serving the Palestinian refugees in Turkey.
Msheinesh expressed his appreciation for the efforts exerted by the Palestinian Embassy and Consulate in this file and promised the Palestinian refugees in Turkey to continue to work to alleviate their suffering at all levels.
Hundreds of Palestinian passports were issued for Palestinian refugees coming from Syria without fees after holding the Palestinians of Turkey Conference in 2016. Efforts are still underway to exempt the rest of the Palestinian refugees from the fees required to obtain Palestinian passports.
