Nine Palestinians wounded in IOF violent quelling of weekly march

Friday 26-June-2020

Nine Palestinians were treated for bullet wounds while dozens others were treated for teargas suffocation after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) violently dispersed a peaceful march in Kafr Qaddum village in Qalqilia on Friday.

Murad Shteiwi the coordinator of popular resistance in Kafr Qaddum said IOF soldiers stormed the village shortly after the weekly anti-settlement march started and fired rubber-coated metal bullets and teargas at the marchers.

Palestinian Red Crescent society said that its medical teams treated nine citizens for bullet wounds and scores others for teargas inhalation.

Kafr Qaddum weekly march has been ongoing for nine years running to demand the reopening of the village’s main road and to protest the growing settlement activity in its vicinity.
