Norwegian activist injured by Israeli gunfire in Kafr Qaddum protest

Sunday 19-August-2018

A female Norwegian activist suffered a bullet injury on Saturday evening when Israeli soldiers violently attacked a peaceful protest in Kafr Qaddum village east of Qalqilya in the occupied West Bank.

A local source said that a 43-year-old Norwegian activist was injured by a rubber bullet in his abdomen.

Other participants in the protest also suffered from their exposure to tear gas fumes.

Residents of Kafr Qaddum and foreign activists stage weekly protests mostly on Fridays against Israeli land grabs and the closure of the village’s southern road by the Israeli occupation army. The road has been blocked for about 15 years.
