The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has emphasized that any unilateral action by Israel to annex Arab land would not serve the peace process and would violate international resolutions.
In a statement on its website the OIC called on the international community especially the UN General Assembly and Security Council to take practical and urgent measures to protect regional security through preventing Israel’s colonial annexation of more Palestinian land.
It also stressed that a just durable and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian question can only be achieved through the Arab Peace Initiative which is based on the two-state solution to the conflict and in favor of establishing the independent Palestinian state with eastern Jerusalem as its capital.
