The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Sunday launched the international humanitarian appeal for the support of Jerusalem and Palestine which it also called “Al-Buraq Document” in order to rally worldwide support for the holy city and its people.
This came during the international humanitarian forum which was launched by the OIC Humanitarian Funds in Doha.
The OIC humanitarian appeal aims to mobilize international and Islamic support for Jerusalem its people and its religious and historical heritage.
Chairman of the board of trustees of the OIC Humanitarian Funds Abdul-Aziz Al-Thani announced the establishment of new humanitarian funds dedicated to providing care and support services for the Palestinian people in Jerusalem Palestine and other OIC member countries.
Representatives of international Arab and Islamic humanitarian organizations as well as diplomats and religious figures participated in the forum including Imam of al-Masjid al-Haram in Makkah Sheikh Saleh bin-Humaid and head of the high Islamic commission in Jerusalem Sheikh Ikrima Sabri.
