Occupation municipality plans to abandon neighbourhoods outside the wall

Friday 23-December-2011

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– The Israeli occupation mayor of Jerusalem put forward a plan which aims to give up responsibility for Palestinian neighbourhoods outside the apartheid wall.

Hebrew press sources said that this plan was presented to security the relevant security authorities and that it will be presented to the occupation government Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The occupation mayor met on Thursday with heads of extremist Jewish movements to try and gain their support for his plan.

Sources in the Zionist mayors’ office said that there are areas outside the separation wall which are difficult for the municipality to provide services for.

Specialists in Jerusalem affairs view this development as part of the plan to tip the demographic balance in Jerusalem in favour of occupying Jews against the indigenous Palestinians. When the building of the apartheid wall is completed 55000 Palestinian residents of Jerusalem will find themselves outside the new boundaries of Jerusalem in the first stage and the number is anticipated to rise to 100000.
