The Israeli military court in Ofer has decided to release 12-year-old Ibrahim Abiyat from Bethlehem on bail.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society Abiyat was released on bail of 2000 shekels and on condition of attending all court hearings held for him until reaching a final verdict on his case.
Israeli soldiers arrested Abiyat on November 22 on allegations of his attempt to carry out a stabbing attack. The court had extended his detention four times before deciding to give him conditional release.
There are more than 270 Palestinian children being detained in the prisons of Megiddo and Ofer.
