Jerusalemite authorities in a press conference on Wednesday called for all efforts to be made to achieve Palestinian reconciliation to enhance the ability to defend the holy city of Jerusalem.
Jerusalemite activist Rasem Obeidat said in a message to the Palestinian factions “On behalf of the Jerusalemite people I ask you to unite and end the division.”
Deputy governor of Jerusalem Abdullah Siam warned that the failure of reconciliation will be a disaster for the Palestinian cause and the national project adding that Israel has taken advantage of the division during the past ten years and targeted Jerusalem with dozens of unprecedented Judaization schemes.
For his part member of the National Labor Authority in Jerusalem Mohammed Jadallah said that reconciliation stems from a free Palestinian will warning of achieving reconciliation at the expense of national constants.
