Tuesday 17-July-2007

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– Israeli premier Ehud Olmert and PA chief Mahmoud Abbas have ended their Monday meeting in the occupied city of Jerusalem vowing to continue the fight against Palestinian resistance in the West Bank the Hebrew radio revealed.

According to the brodcast Abbas and Olmert agreed to reactivate the PA-Israeli joint committees and to meet again after two weeks perhaps in the West Bank city of Jericho.

Hebrew press reports also revealed that Olmert asked Abbas during the meeting to order and direct PA security forces loyal to him to relentlessly fight Palestinian resistance fighters in the West Bank and to work for their final surrender.

Abbas for his part the reports added pledged to collect weapons of the 189 surrendered Fatah activists in addition to implementing his “illegal” decree of dissolving all armed wings of the Palestinian resistance in the region.

In return Olmert promised Abbas to exclude any Palestinian captive affiliated with Hamas Movement from the framework of the deal to release 250 Palestinian captives affirming that all of the 250 will be from Fatah faction.

But he (Olmert) rejected Abbas’s request to halt IOF troops’ military incursions into the West Bank cities affirming that the IOF troops will continue chasing Palestinian resistance activists in the area.

Like father like son:
On the other hand the Hebrew Ha’aretz newspaper revealed that Yasser Abbas son of Mahmoud Abbas has followed the footsteps of his father and met with an Israeli diplomat and leaders of “Zionist” organizations in Canada last week.

“It is about time for Israel to help my father” the paper quoted Abbas (the son) as saying during his meeting with the diplomat indicating that the younger Abbas who is a Canadian citizen was sent by his father to Canada for that mission.

Abbas junior is expected to meet with Canadian officials in a bid to convince them to resume financial assistance to his father’s authority the sources affirmed.

Canada froze financial assistance to the PA government and participated in the economic siege imposed on the Palestinian people since March of last year as a mass punishment against them for practicing genuine democracy and for electing Hamas to rule them.

“You have promised my father many things in the past but you carried out few of those promises thus I hope now that you will give my father what he needs” the Israeli diplomat quoted the younger Abbas as further requesting.
