One IOF soldier killed four others wounded in a resistance attack

GAZA (PIC)– Palestinian resistance fighters on Friday evening opened fire at a group of IOF soldiers near the colony of Nirim to the east of the Maghazi refugee camp wounding five soldiers two of them seriously.

PIC correspondent said that a heavy exchange of fire was heard to the east of the Maghazi refugee camp which was followed extensive presence of airplanes which strafed residential areas and agricultural fields in the area.

The correspondent also said that the sound of explosions were heard in the area believed to be the result of firing mortar bombs towards Israeli occupation military posts.

The Israeli radio said a group of soldiers came under fire from light guns and mortars at the Kisufim area on the borders with the Gaza Strip when the group arrived to the area after discovering a group of fighters trying to plant explosives.

The radio added that the soldiers responded to the source of fire and that it was not known if any of the fighters was wounded. The wounded soldiers were taken to Soroka hospital in Beir Al-Sabe’.

It was announced later that one of the soldiers died.
