Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Wednesday that one death 1026 new cases of coronavirus and 293 recoveries were recorded during the last 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the single fatality was recorded in Jericho.
She stated that the new infections were distributed as follows: Qalqilya 39 Tulkarem 80 Nablus 194 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 66 Salfit 15 Tubas 12 Jenin 28 Jerusalem suburbs 2 Bethlehem 5 al-Khalil 14 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 1 Gaza Strip 504 and Jerusalem 66.
The new recovery cases were recorded according to the following: Qalqilya 7 Tulkarem 10 Nablus 34 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 15 Tubas 20 Jenin 19 Jerusalem Suburbs 2 Bethlehem 4 al-Khalil 3 Gaza Strip 100 and Jerusalem 79 the minister added.
Kailah pointed out that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 96.9 percent while the rate of active infections reached 2 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections the minister added.
She said that there are 31 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 692651 including 436410 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
