Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Friday that one death 71 new cases of the coronavirus and 62 recoveries were recorded after conducting 2840 examinations during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the single fatality was recorded in the Gaza Strip while no deaths were recorded in the West Bank.
She said that the new infections were distributed as follows: Jenin 4 Tulkarem 1 Bethlehem 1 Nablus 2 al-Khalil 2 and the Gaza Strip 61.
The new recovery cases were recorded according to the following: Jenin 8 Nablus 5 al-Khalil 2 Tulkarem 2 and the Gaza Strip 45 the minister added.
Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 98.4 percent while the rate of active infections reached 0.5 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
She pointed out that there are 9 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the minister noted that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 565552 including 400560 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
