The Palestinian ministry of health in Ramallah said it earmarked one million shekels to urgently provide medical facilities in Gaza with fuel to operate their generators for only 10 days.
A spokesman for the health ministry in Gaza affirmed on Tuesday that minister of health Jawad Awwad announced the financial support to buy fuel for the government’s hospitals and medical centers in the besieged enclave.
The spokesman noted that this financial support would provide medical facilities with fuel sufficient only for additional 10 days.
Earlier the health ministry in Gaza warned that its hospital services reached a dangerous stage threatening the lives of patients after fuel supplies needed to operate generators almost ran out.
