Moroccan premier Saadeddine Othmani has said that his country’s official position is to continue backing all popular civil and media initiatives that support the Palestinian people and their national cause until the liberation of their land from the occupation.
Othmani made his remarks on Thursday during an intellectual conference on “the Palestinian cause in the Arab media” organized for two days by the National Union of the Moroccan Press and the Beirut-based Palestine Media Forum.
“Unfortunately we are living in a time where the official systems are experiencing difficulties and we hope to see such period disappear quickly” premier Othmani said.
The premier also said that the battle with the occupation should be fought smartly through the intellectual and media arenas and not only through politics stressing the importance of media outlets as effective means to support the Palestinian cause.
