Over 120 settlers defile Aqsa Mosque

Dozens of extremist Jewish settlers desecrated the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Tuesday morning and later in the afternoon.

According to al-Qastal News website at least 123 settlers entered the Mosque in groups through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards under tight police guard.

A number of settlers escorted by police officers also gathered in the eastern area of the Mosque and embarked on performing Talmudic prayers.

Meanwhile the Israeli occupation police persisted in imposing restrictions on the entry of Muslim worshipers to the Mosque and harassed a number of them during their presence in its courtyards and the entrances leading to it.

In a related context Jerusalemite activists continued to urge their compatriots to intensify their presence in the Aqsa Mosque compound during the coming days.

They reiterated the importance of the intensive Muslim presence at the Mosque to protect it against Judaization and desecration attempts by settlers who plan to defile the holy site en masse during their upcoming Hanukkah holiday.

Dozens of Jewish settlers escorted by police forces desecrated the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Sunday morning and later in the afternoon.

At least 128 settlers entered the Mosque in different groups through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards according to al-Qastal news website.

During their tours at the Islamic holy site the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them provocatively performed Talmudic prayers.

Meanwhile the Israeli occupation police imposed movement and entry restrictions on Muslim worshipers at the Aqsa Mosque’s entrances and gates.

The Aqsa Mosque is exposed to daily desecration by Jewish settlers and police forces in the morning and the afternoon except on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Israeli police close al-Maghariba Gate which is used by Jews to enter the Mosque at 10:30 am after the settlers complete their morning tours at the holy site. Later in the afternoon the same gate is reopened for evening tours by settlers.

During the presence of settlers inside the Mosque compound entry restrictions are imposed on Muslim worshipers at the entrances leading to the Mosque and their IDs could be seized until they leave the holy place.

Hordes of extremist Jewish settlers desecrated the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Thursday morning and later in the afternoon.

According to al-Qastal news website at least 127 settlers entered the Mosque in groups through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards under police escort.

During their tours at the Islamic holy site the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them provocatively performed Talmudic prayers.

The Aqsa Mosque is exposed to daily desecration by Jewish settlers and police forces in the morning and the afternoon except on Fridays and Saturdays.

Meanwhile extremist Jewish groups have announced their intents to stage mass settler break-ins at the Aqsa Mosque on August 9 to mark what they call the destruction of the temple.

These groups promised their followers to make preparations in coordination with the Israeli occupation authority in Jerusalem to receive thousands of settlers at the Islamic holy site through providing tour guides shaded areas and drinking water.

In a related context Jerusalemite figures and youth groups called for marching en masse to the Aqsa Mosque tomorrow to perform the dawn and Friday prayers.

According to them the intensive presence of Muslim worshipers at the Aqsa Mosque is important to protect the holy site and thwart any attempt to Judaize it.

Extremist settler groups started in recent days to mobilize their supporters to storm the Aqsa Mosque en masse on May 29 to mark what they call Jerusalem day or the reunification of Jerusalem (the occupation of east Jerusalem).

A number of settlers were seen performing prayers or rituals during their tours at the Islamic holy site.

Dozens of Jewish settlers on Sunday morning barged into the Aqsa Mosque compound under tight police protection.

According to the Islamic Awqaf Authority 121 settlers desecrated the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards amid attempts by settlers to perform rituals.

However about 62 settlers performed rituals the moment they entered the Mosque through al-Maghariba Gate while the mosque guards prevented many others from doing so during their tours at the Islamic site.
