Saturday 11-June-2022

Violent clashes broke out last night and at dawn Saturday between Palestinian youths and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in different West Bank areas.

According to local sources a 13-year-old child suffered from shrapnel wounds when the IOF intensively fired live ammunition at young men in al-Arroub refugee camp in northern al-Khalil.

Young men also targeted the IOF watchtower at the main entrance of al-Arroub camp with Molotov cocktails and threw a tear gas canister at Israeli soldiers after seizing it from them.

In Nablus a group of youths was able to set fire to an IOF post at the entrance of Huwara town.

Young men also hoisted and placed flags on poles billboards and walls in Huwara’s streets after settlers and soldiers removed them recently.

Meanwhile the IOF closed a road leading to the towns of Beit Furik and Beit Dajan in eastern Nablus.

Clashes also broke out in Ni’lin town west of Ramallah where local youths showered Israeli troops with firecrackers and stones.

Local sources said that the IOF raided several homes in Ni’lin and fired rubber bullets and tear gas canisters at young men.

The IOF also stormed other areas of the West Bank with no reported clashes or arrests.
