A Palestinian Authority (PA) court in Ariha (Jericho) on Thursday extended the detention of a university student from Dura town in al-Khalil because of his political affiliation.
An informed source told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that student Mohamed Abu Arqoub received a 15-day extension to his arbitrary detention.
Abu Arqoub a member of Hamas’s Islamic Bloc has been in a PA intelligence jail in Ariha since March 25 2017 with no guilt being officially charged against him.
The student suffers from several health problems and needs medical care outside the prison according to his family.
