PA security elements foil Fatah plan to bomb PLC building in Gaza

Sunday 16-September-2007

GAZA (PIC)– Elements of the PA interior ministry’s executive force have succeeded Sunday in defusing a bomb planted near one of the Palestinian legislature’s gates accusing Fatah Movement of being behind the “heinous crime”.

Islam Shahwan the spokesman of the force affirmed that explosives experts in the executive force succeeded in defusing the 15kg T.N.T bomb and planted at the PA parliament headquarter in Gaza city.

Shahwan unequivocally accused “remnants” of the disgraced mutiny trend in Fatah faction of unleashing the “treacherous” attack on the PLC adding that Fatah vandals want to drag the Gaza Strip into the quagmire if internecine fighting and security chaos with clear coordination with Fatah leaders and the “unconstitutional” PA government in Ramallah city.

In the West Bank PA security forces loyal to PA chief Mahmoud Abbas desecrated two more mosques in Jenin and Bir Ziet cities in the West Bank before ransacking and tampering with their contents.

A number of local mosques in the West Bank were defiled by Abbas’s security forces over the past few days but frequency of sacrilegious attacks by those troops on worshipping places have noticeably increased during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Hundreds of Hamas’s cadres and supporters were arrested at the hands of Abbas’s security forces and dozens of Hamas-affiliated offices and charities were ransacked and sealed off by Abbas’s loyalists.

Moreover the PA intelligence department summoned Mohammed Eshtiwi the director of the Aqsa satellite TV channel which is close to the Hamas Movement and placed him under harsh interrogation session before releasing him hours later in clear violation against media in the West Bank.

Three months ago Eshtiwi was shot and wounded by suspicious Fatah hooligans in the West Bank. He was also jailed in Abbas’s jails in the West Bank without charges.

The PA security apparatuses and the Israeli occupation government were closely coordinating in arresting Hamas’s cadres and political leaders in the West Bank Palestinian local sources affirmed.

The sources also confirmed that the two parties were complementing each other’s role in sealing off Hamas’s charities and societies in the West Bank despite being legal and authorized organizations with clean and honest records.
