The Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces kidnapped on Sunday three Palestinian citizens in the West Bank and continued to detain others illegally.
According to local sources the PA preventive security service in Nablus detained Marwan al-Aqra a noted academic and historian after summoning him for interrogation on Sunday.
The PA intelligence service also kidnaped on the same day two brothers from the family of Diriyah during a raid in Beit Fajjar town south of Bethlehem.
Meanwhile at least 11 other citizens including university students national figures and ex-detainees have been in PA jails illegally for several days.
Among those detainees are two resistance fighters called Musaab Shtayyeh and Ameed Tabila who have been held illegally for 102 days in the notorious jail of Jericho.
Lawyer Mustafa Shatat said prisoner Shtayyeh suffers from unstable health issues in Jericho jail describing his illegal detention as “shameful and reprehensible.”
