PA security transfers prisoner Anas Hamdi to hospital

Saturday 12-November-2022

Political detainee Anas Hamdi was transferred for the second time within a few days from Jericho jail to a Palestinian hospital after a decline in his health condition as a result of his hunger strike.

Hamdi who entered day 7 of his hunger strike on Saturday was kidnaped by the Palestinian Authority security forces about one month ago.

Later a Palestinian court ordered his release but the security authorities decided to keep him in detention at the behest of the Nablus governor.

His sister Asmaa Hamdi said that he suffers from severe physical fatigue and pains in his stomach and internal organs and vomits repeatedly.

She added that her brother staged his hunger strike to express his rejection of the injustice and oppression he is exposed to at the hands of the PA security forces and to affirm his right to live with freedom and dignity among his family members.
